The Mountain House

This weekend we went up to the mountain house! It is beautiful up in Cuyamaca. According to the news over 100,000 people went up to the Laguna and Cuyamaca mountains to play in the snow. They even had to close the roads from too much traffic. We were very excited to get away for the weekend. We were almost there when the plowed road stopped. Unfortunately, the fabulous Subi was not able get up. Kristine even put the chains on but it was no use. She has since come to realize there is a big difference going thru powder snow and wet snow. Anyway, we were stuck down the hill, we deliberated for a few moments, but decided quiet easily to trek up the hill to the house to stay the night. So along with a three year old, a dog, food and luggage we climbed up the hill. What an adventure it was for our family. Here are the pics of our journey up the mountain and then playing in the snow. Can't wait to go up a few more times this month. We are suppose to get a lot more snow next week so I hope we are able to get up there again for Christmas and New Years.
